Water Level Information: No Change in operation for at least Four to Five years. Water Levels will continue to operate the same as they have in the last six years. {Maximum of Five foot down in late Summer.} More flow is expected to pass through Banks Lake for the foreseeable future. This additional flow could affect currents. The additional flow is not expected to effect levels. Ongoing studies to replenish the "Odessa Aquifer" WILL continue. Public Scoping Meetings could begin fall of 2008. The scoping meetings and the final "alternatives documents" are to be completed by late 2011. Also being planned: A "Maintenance" Draw-down starting August 2011, ending March 2012. Maintenance draw-downs typically occur every 10-15 years. Maintenance draw-downs allow all Federal, State, City & private entities to schedule repairs and improvements in and around the entire Banks Lake area. This information was based on our interpretation of a public meeting presented by the Bureau of Reclamation in Grand Coulee on 03/26/2008.
